This semester, my PE goal has been to refine my pitch and speed. As I get closer to the summer, I have been looking for ways to encorporate my Japanese education in my plans. As it turns out, I will be headed to Tokyo. With this in mind, my new, more precise goal for PE is to achieve a level of speech and understanding that will allow me to succeed in Japan. I plan to continue my shadowing exercises, which have been getting stronger and stronger since the semeseter began. These skills will translate over to my everyday life, allowing me to express myself effectively among a group of native speakers. I will also make use of my friends who speak Japanese. More casual conversation will surely help me improve, and senpaitachi will be able to give me pointers and correct my mistakes.

SWANKY DANK - Sink Like a Stone (ft. Hiro from MY FIRST STORY)
These guys sound like Story of the Year. I like that. It's also super impressive how they sing in English for music that is meant for the Japanese market. I'd love to see Americans get behind music that is in other languages, but they are too busy with Drake and One Direction.
During this semester, I need to work on my thought process and the speed at which I translate my English thoughts into Japanese speech. In order to do this, I plan on doing more conversation-based exercisers and shadowing.
I now have people I can speak Japanese with, so I will practice with them during normal conversation. This will allow me to get some practice in with casual speech as well. Hopefully, I can get past mere survival level speech.
From the above video, one can probably deduce that football is my favorite sport (the real football... not soccer :p). I've been playing since I was four years old, and it taught me a lot about accountability, teamwork, and adversity.
